IPM Extra Credit
Students will create their own complex question to research about a topic related to IPM. Students can showcase their learning in any method they choose. A maximum of 15 points will be awarded on a merit basis. Projects that show thoughtful discussion, and neat and professional presentation will be rewarded. If the document is in a digital format it should be shared digitally through google docs. Due 10/21/14 by 3:30pm. No late projects accepted.
Natural Enemies Individual Research and Presentation Project
Natural Enemies Presentation
Directions visit the UC IPM website-Natural Enemies Gallery. Find your natural enemy. Create a PowerPoint Slide to teach your classmates about that organism. You will share the PowerPoint slide with the instructor via Google Docs. Assignments will be presented in front of the class on the next class meeting. Your slide should include one or more pictures, whether your organism is a predator or parasite, key information about it. Site your resources including those used for pictures at the bottom of your page.
Sharing on Google Docs:
1. Log into your google account. If you don’t have a google account, create one. You can use an existing email if you choose, or you can make a new one.
2. Create your document directly on google docs by clicking create. Choose “presentation.” In the future you can also upload documents by clicking the up arrow.
3. Click the blue button in the right hand corner. You’ll need to give it a name, name it your last name plus the name of your organism.
4. Share it with my be entering my email k[email protected] , give me permission to edit.
5. I’ll be able to see it right away. You can also work on it anywhere you have the internet.
